Last Saturday was quite eventful.
I was privileged to work alongside a team of leaders within the Cell System of Daystar Christian Centre, as we embarked on a skill acquisition programme for individuals within the Ogudu area of Lagos, Nigeria.
We invited experienced facilitators who trained participants on different skills such as Fascinator design , Gele (headgear) tying, Cocktail preparation, and small chops making.
Over 35 excited individuals (about 90% women) took advantage of the opportunity. They listened, took notes, asked questions, and, of course, tried out the various skills. It was such a sight to behold.
Not only was it an insightful session, it was equally tasty. Everyone present had a delightful cup of Chapman!
And I believe the new knowledge and ability gained on that day would go a long way in helping these women launch businesses of their own.
